UPCYCLING FURNITURE

UPCYCLING FURNITURE

Like to see the money spent on educating the community on how to mend/repair/restyle/re-upholster "upcycle" their furniture and unwanted household items. It's crafty and practical. These can be then reused, or sold to raise money for the project.

Points

Many household things get thrown away because they need a simple repair or are now longer trendy, but with simple craft/skill knowledge they can be repaired and made to look fashionable and wanted again. These skills can be used time and time again. Also the end products can be resold and at a good price and any profits made can be reused to keep the community project going.

Self help is always a good idea, and if people can learn new skills whilst saving money and the planet, then it can only be good!
