“Kunst in de open ruimte” was a project partly initiated by the national and provincial governments as part of a national funding for art infrastructure.
This artistic project of the Province of Limburg is unique in Flanders and far beyond. The works of art allow passers-by and visitors to look at the environment in a different way. Both established names and young talent went to work in Haspengouw. Currently, seven high-profile works of art can be admired.
